About the Role

What this job really is

The Claims / Insurance Specialist is the documentation backbone of restoration. The homeowner owns their claim — you support them by coordinating it from inspection through final payment: working directly with the insurance company and adjuster, documenting the full scope of storm damage for a fair RCV, and tracking that ACV, depreciation, and the homeowner’s deductible collection all line up. Xactimate and insurance experience are highly valued. We are the contractor, never a public adjuster: we advocate for a fair, full scope, but we never negotiate the claim for the homeowner, never promise approval, and never pay, waive, or rebate a deductible.

What You’ll Do

Your responsibilities

Coordinate the claim alongside the homeowner and document the full scope of damage
Schedule and work directly with insurance adjusters on site
Review carrier scopes and advocate for a fair, full RCV
Track ACV, depreciation, and the homeowner’s deductible collection
Keep homeowners and reps updated on claim status
Maintain clean, accurate records in the CRM

Insurance, adjusting, or restoration claims experience preferred
Xactimate familiarity a strong plus
Strong written and phone communication
Comfortable advocating firmly, professionally, and within the rules

A Day in the Life

What a typical day looks like

Review the day’s active claims board and flag what needs movement
Call carriers and adjusters to coordinate scopes and adjuster appointments
Meet an adjuster on site (with the rep) to document the full scope of storm damage
Compare the carrier scope line-by-line and advocate for a fair, full RCV
Update homeowners and reps on where each claim stands
Track ACV, depreciation, and deductible collection so nothing legitimate is left on the table
