Hiring Questions

What people ask before they apply

Straight answers, including the pay. Maryland law requires a wage range in every posting and we think that is the right way round anyway.

Do I need roofing experience to get hired?

No. Our canvasser, appointment setter, customer service and office roles need no roofing experience, and we train installers to GAF spec — paid. Experience is required for crew lead, project manager, production manager and claims specialist roles.

How much do roofing sales reps make in Maryland?

Our Roofing Sales Representative role pays $90,000–$250,000+ OTE on uncapped 1099 commission. Storm-restoration top performers in the DMV routinely clear $120K–$250K+. Every role's pay range is published on its own page — we do not make you ask.

What does an entry-level roofing job pay here?

W2 installers earn $22–$35/hour depending on experience (laborer $22–$26, experienced installer $27–$32, lead installer $33–$35), paid weekly, year round. Canvassers earn $50,000–$100,000 on base plus commission.

Where do you hire? Do you work in DC or Pennsylvania?

Maryland only. Most work sits in Montgomery County, Maryland. We are licensed MHIC #111971 in Maryland.

Is the work year round or seasonal?

Year round. Storm restoration peaks in spring and summer, and repairs, siding and gutters fill the winter, so crews are not sent home when the weather turns.

How long does the application take, and what happens next?

The form on each role page takes about three minutes — no account, no resume upload required. A human on our hiring team reviews every application and reaches out by phone or text if it is a fit.

Do you hire subcontractor crews as well as W2 installers?

Yes. We take on established 1099 crews at $250–$350 per square, paid weekly on QC-passed jobs. You must operate as a registered entity with an EIN and carry your own general liability and workers' compensation — we verify certificates.

Do I need my own truck and tools?

Subcontractor crews bring their own truck, tools and equipment. W2 installers do not — we supply equipment and fall protection, and material is on the roof before you arrive.
