Do you offer free inspections?
Yes! We offer free, no-obligation roof inspections to assess any storm, wind, or hail damage. Our experts provide a full report and photos.
Can you help with insurance claims?
Yes — as your roofing contractor. We inspect and document the storm damage, give you a detailed line-item estimate to submit to your carrier, and meet your adjuster on the roof to review the scope. Your insurance company makes the coverage decision — we do not file, run, or negotiate your claim, and no contractor can guarantee approval. On approved storm claims, your deductible is typically your out-of-pocket cost on an approved claim.
How quickly can you complete my roof?
Most roof replacements are finished in one day. Weather permitting, we start early and leave your property clean and protected by the end of the day.
What if insurance denies my claim?
We have affordable retail options and financing available, so even if your claim is denied, we can still help you get a new roof that fits your budget.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, United Developers is fully licensed and bonded in Maryland (MHIC #111971), and we carry full liability insurance for your protection.
What other services do you provide?
In addition to roofing, we offer siding, gutters, windows, storm restoration, painting, and interior remodeling (kitchens, bathrooms, decks, additions).
Do you offer warranties?
Yes — manufacturer lifetime warranties plus our own 2-year workmanship warranty for your peace of mind.
What types of roofs do you install?
Asphalt architectural shingles, metal roofing, flat roofs, EPDM, and TPO systems for both residential and commercial properties.
What areas do you serve?
We proudly serve Maryland — including Montgomery County.
Will my insurance premium increase after a roof claim?
Most homeowners don't see a rate increase for a storm-related claim because it's considered an "Act of God." Premiums are more often affected by regional storm trends than an individual claim — and a new roof can sometimes lower your premium by reducing your home's risk profile.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We offer $0-down financing options on approved credit with terms from 12 to 180 months, so a new roof can be a manageable monthly payment instead of a lump sum. See our financing page for details.
How much will I actually pay out of pocket?
On an approved storm-damage claim, most homeowners pay only their insurance deductible — typically $1,000–$2,500. For non-claim work, we give you an exact retail or financed price at the inspection, with no hidden fees and no "call for pricing."
When do I pay — and how?
On insurance work the standard schedule is half at the first insurance check and half at completion — never a large lump sum up front. We accept check, card, and financing. A licensed contractor should never demand full payment before the work is done.
Do you do commercial roofing?
Yes. We install and restore flat and low-slope commercial systems including EPDM and TPO, in addition to residential roofing. Call us to schedule a commercial assessment.
What happens if it rains during my project?
We watch the forecast and only tear off what we can dry-in and complete safely. If weather moves in, your roof is protected with underlayment and tarps, and we resume as soon as conditions allow.
How soon can you come out after a storm?
After a major storm we prioritize affected neighborhoods and typically inspect within 24 hours. Our team monitors National Weather Service alerts across the DMV so we can respond fast where damage is most likely.
Still have a question? Ask the roof.
Free inspection, typically within 24 hours + full photo report — free. You keep the report either way. Coverage decisions are always your insurer’s to make.
Representative example: $15,000 financed at 9.99% APR for 120 months = approximately $198/month. Total of payments approximately $23,760. Your actual rate, term, and payment depend on the lender, your credit, and the amount financed.
All financing is provided by independent third-party lenders on approved credit. Rates, terms (12–180 months), and $0-down availability vary by lender and applicant and are subject to change. Not all applicants will qualify. Full financing disclosures →
