Referral Program Terms & Conditions

Effective date: July 22, 2026 · Version 1.0

These are the official rules of the United Developers, LLC d/b/a UD Roofing ("United Developers," "UD," "we," "us") $250 Referral Program. By submitting a referral to us — on our website, by phone, by text, by email, or in person — you agree to these rules. They are in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

The one thing to know: the $250 is earned when the neighbor you referred signs a contract with United Developers and that project is completed and paid in full. Giving us a name earns nothing on its own. See Section 2.

1. Who can participate

2. How you get paid — the completed-project rule

You are paid when — and only when — the person you referred signs a written contract with United Developers AND that project is completed and paid for in full.

A name alone earns nothing. There is no payment for submitting a lead, for us reaching the homeowner, for a free inspection, for an estimate or proposal, for an insurance claim being filed or approved, or for a signed contract that is later cancelled, rescinded, or never built. If the job does not get completed and paid in full, no referral fee is earned.

"Completed and paid in full" means United Developers has finished the contracted work and has received final payment on that contract. On projects paid from insurance proceeds, that includes the homeowner's deductible and any remaining balance actually being paid to us.

Two more conditions that have to be met:

3. Amount, when it's paid, and how

This program pays the referrer only. The homeowner you refer does not receive a credit, discount, rebate, or price reduction under this program. Their price is their price.

4. The person you refer must be new to United Developers

5. You must have their permission before you send us their number

Do not give us anyone's phone number without asking them first. By submitting a referral you are confirming that the person you are referring knows about it and has agreed that United Developers may contact them about a free roof inspection. Referrals submitted without the homeowner's permission are void, earn no payment, and may be removed from our system entirely.

We contact referred homeowners by a manually dialed phone call. We do not use an autodialer, a prerecorded or artificial voice, or automated text messages to a referred homeowner unless that homeowner gives us their own consent first. If a referred homeowner tells us they never agreed to be contacted, we will stop contacting them, and the referral is void.

6. What voids a referral

No payment is earned, and we may reverse or withhold a payment, if any of the following applies:

United Developers decides eligibility in good faith based on its own records. If we determine a referral does not qualify, we will tell you why.

7. Taxes — the $250 is income

Referral payments are taxable income to the person who receives them. They are not a discount, a rebate, or a gift.

8. Insurance claims and deductibles

United Developers never pays, waives, rebates, absorbs, discounts, or "eats" any homeowner's insurance deductible — ever, for anyone, under any program. Every homeowner pays their own deductible in full.

9. Reviews are never part of the deal

Your $250 is never conditioned on leaving a review, and never conditioned on what a review says. We may separately ask you or the homeowner you referred for an honest review of your experience. That request has nothing to do with this program: you get paid whether you leave a review or not, whether it is positive or negative, and whether you take it down later. We do not offer, and will not offer, compensation in exchange for a review expressing any particular opinion, consistent with the Federal Trade Commission's Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials (16 C.F.R. Part 465).

10. What this program is not

11. Changes, ending the program, and disputes

United Developers may change, suspend, or end this program at any time, and may change the payment amount or these rules. Changes apply going forward only: a referral that already met every condition in Section 2 before the change will be honored under the rules in effect when it was submitted. The version and effective date at the top of this page control. These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.

12. Contact
