$250 is paid to you within 30 days after the referred project is completed and paid in full — a lead, an inspection, or a contract that later cancels earns nothing. Referrals must be submitted before our first inspection of their roof, and you must have the homeowner's permission before sending us their number. Referral payments are never applied to or offset against any insurance deductible; United Developers never pays, waives or rebates a deductible. Referral payments are taxable income: we may require IRS Form W-9 and may issue a 1099 once your annual payments reach the federal reporting threshold ($2,000 for payments made on or after January 1, 2026).
