The Project Studio without JavaScript

The interactive builder needs JavaScript to price your project, because every figure it shows is calculated from what you enter rather than looked up in a table. Without it, here is what the tool covers and what it asks you for.

35 trades. Twenty-seven are grouped: Exterior (14) — roofing, siding, windows, entry and patio doors, gutters, trim and fascia, flat and low-slope roofing, exterior painting, decking, concrete and masonry, brick and stone veneer, stucco, skylights and attic insulation; Interior (9) — kitchens, bathrooms, basements, flooring, interior painting, countertops, interior trim and doors, drywall and plaster, and stairs and railings; Systems (4) — HVAC, electrical, plumbing and garage doors. Eight more sit outside those groups because they change the shape of the house rather than refinish it: additions, dormers, ADUs, wall removal, garage builds, patios, fencing and landscaping.

What it asks for. A real measurement per trade, never a Small/Medium/Large guess: squares or square feet of roof (or your main-floor footprint, from which it derives the roof size), wall area for siding and paint, linear feet for gutters, trim and fence, square feet for decks, patios, concrete, flooring and additions, and a count for windows, doors, skylights and electrical circuits. Pitch, tear-off layers and roof age are asked as questions a homeowner can answer rather than measure. It shows the arithmetic and labels whether each figure is one you entered, one derived from your home, or a typical-home assumption.
